Mindfulness is about moving inward and releasing outward distractions, but obviously — this can be hard to do. Using a chime and singing bowl, Kathryn will strike a chord, simply asking for you to listen to the sound, how it vibrates, begins, ends, and changes. Use this to slip into the present moment. 

Bonus: if you are trying to teach children how to meditate, have them join and tell them you're playing a game where they have to stay still, with their eyes closed, and can only raise their hand once the sound is completely gone. Great way to teach patience!
