Life can get pretty serious when we're always in our heads. And when the pressure to follow the unspoken rules begins to build — regarding what this journey is "supposed" to look like — we gotta release! Today's class is all about letting that pressure go and allowing ourselves the space to explore movement through the lens of joy. Even our yoga practice can get too rigid. So, every now and then, it is important we don't take ourselves so seriously. We must give ourselves permission to explore movement through the playful curiosity that a release can bring!
We will start class with a pressure release through the hips. From there, we'll lead into face yoga — yes, there are 20 main muscles in the face, and if we are not careful, we may fall into a "resting" you-know-what face. We will work on pairing facial expressions to the many yoga asanas we enjoy, and I promise a healthy delivery of laughter!
