This meditation focuses on Japa (derived from the Sanskrit root, jap, meaning "to repeat quietly and internally”). Mala beads are encouraged but not required. The name "Dhumavati" is repeated 108 times to invoke the Hindu goddess who helps rid us of our troubles and disappointment.

Each meditation ends with a five minute free writing, so a journal or something to write with is encouraged.

Beginner friendly. All levels.
15 mins + 5 mins of free writing
Props: optional mala + cushion or blanket
