Come celebrate the upcoming summer solstice with your Haus Coven by creating a honey jar! Honey jars spells are a type of 'sympathetic magick', a spell or ritual that uses objects or items that resemble what you want to influence. Honey jars are used in magick all over the world to attract what the practitioner desires. We'll use our jar to attract the sweetness and freedom of summer. May we find freedom and ease. Ritual will be followed by gentle movement and meditation.

30 minutes

Tools needed:
  • small honey jar with a lid
  • honey (or vegan syrup such as molasses or maple) 
  • small piece of paper and pen
  • lighter
  • incense or sacred smoke (sage, palo santo)
  • lavender (oil or dried flowers)
  • dandelion (dried or fresh)
  • quartz or selenite crystal
  • gold glitter
  • small pillar candle (choose from colors below to match your desire)
  • plate to catch wax
  • cup of favorite tea, optional

Candle color meaning:
  • Red: Passion, bravery, fertility
  • Orange: success, joy, intellect
  • Yellow: focus, intelligence, clarity
  • Green: good luck, monetary success
  • Blue: healing, tranquility, creativity
  • Purple: psychic power, intuition, guidance
  • Pink: love, romance, friendship
  • Black: protection, banishing negative energy
  • White: truth, peace, purity, all-purpose
